President Industrial Motion, an executive officer position, reporting to the CEO of The Timken Company, leads the strategy development and execution of profitable growth and innovation for the Industrial Motion business globally. The Industrial Motion group is comprised of a global diversified portfolio of businesses with a sales revenue of approximately $1.5B, representing the company to its customers, suppliers, shareholders, employees, and global communities. Given the complexity, global scope, and variety of industries covered by the Industrial Motion portfolio of brands, we seek a leader with the following attributes, competencies, and experiences :

- Compelling for this role would be senior leadership experience in multinational, Global 1000 organizations renowned for integrity, innovation, and a strong culture of continuous improvement and / or experience as President or CEO of a smaller, yet complex, and fast-moving stand-alone organization or a large division.
- An outstanding builder of teams and collaborator, committed to a culture of transparency and open communication from the Board level, across the C-suite, and throughout every level of the company.
- A history of achievements and superior standards; embraces The Timken Company's culture of continuous improvement and long-term value creation.
- A hands-on, energized, and inspirational leader who is not afraid to challenge conventional wisdom or outdated processes, while engaging and motivating the team.
- Experience in managing P&L leaders and developing general management and portfolio management capabilities to grow businesses is critical.
- Prior experience managing a portfolio of distinct brands and businesses is essential, ideally in technology-enabled products companies; ability to manage complexity and ambiguity is critical.
- Strong systemic and visioning skills coupled with strategic acumen, to assess, lead and report on company's strategies, business plans, and overall company performance.
- General familiarity with the Company's end-markets, customers, channels and technology and the cyclical demand profile of its end-markets.
- Experience leading acquisitions and integrations of various sizes, business models and geographies. On-the-ground experience living and working throughout Europe and / or in other international markets, in addition to the U.S., would be a decided plus.
- An open and engaging style; an executive who possesses the courage of his or her convictions.
