Timken Belts, located in Springfield, MO, is searching for a Quality Engineer.
Position Summary :
The Plant Quality Manager is responsible for driving excellence in product quality and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across our Springfield belts manufacturing facility. This position serves as the primary point of contact for customer quality-related concerns, implements robust quality management systems, and ensures compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Customer Quality Management :
Act as the primary contact for customers on quality-related matters, resolving issues within the parameters established by the company.
Develop and implement inspection and sampling techniques, quality plans, flow diagrams, control plans, and in-process control procedures to ensure finished products meet customer requirements.
Analyze plant non-conformance reports and recommend process or product improvements to address root causes and enhance quality performance.
Act as a liaison between manufacturing, sales, and technical departments to establish quality standards and specifications for in-process and finished products across all Timken Belts manufacturing locations.
Evaluate and monitor supplier performance to ensure the quality of incoming materials.
Lead and develop the quality team, providing training and performance feedback.
Education, Experience and Skills Required :
5-7 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in industrial products or automotive components.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
