The Business Development/Account Leader position is an individual contributor and is responsible for identifying potential business opportunities, developing relationships, and understanding the customer's critical business strategies with accounts, then working with a team of subject matter experts to create and execute a solution to help achieve the customer's business objectives. - As a New Business Development/Account Leader, you are responsible for identifying and creating new qualified sales opportunities in Target Accounts via outbound calls/emails/LinkedIn for our Account Executives.
- Will also coordinate with their AE counterparts to determine the accounts that require research and prospecting activities to secure a sufficient flow of additional qualified opportunities.
- Prospect, educate, qualify, and develop Target Accounts to create sales-ready leads and opportunities
- Interact with and nurture prospects via telephone, LinkedIn, and email
- Meeting daily outbound outreach quota
- Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and develop accounts to stimulate opportunity
- A self-starter with a track record of successful lead generation and follow-up for sales development in Mid-Market and Enterprise accounts
- Experience with HubSpot CRM, Apollo.ai, Zoominfo, LinkedIn sales navigator
- Opportunity qualification and objection handling
- Proven track record achieving prospecting goals in an automated sales environment where accurate entry and management of lead data in a CRM system was required
- Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills
- Proficient with standard corporate productivity tools (email, voicemail, MS Office)
Qualifications
- Minimum seven years of direct B2B sales experience calling on Fortune 1000 companies
- Most have 1 of the following: Sales Incentives, Rewards Recognition, Loyalty, or Employee Engagement experience
- Clear history of new business development selling marketing solutions, or professional business services
- Demonstrable sales success through prospecting and growing revenue in large accounts
- Large volume sales experience ($250k plus per sale)
- Experience with a broad range of sales cycles (three to six to twelve months)
- History of career stability with a maximum of three employers in the last ten years
- Compensation derived through highly leveraged commissions and bonuses
- A year college degree is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products is required; Proficiency with web, SaaS, and mobile applications is a plus
- Must reside in the USA
