Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our dynamic restaurant team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage guest relations will be key to your success in this position.
Duties
- Greet guests as they arrive and provide them with a warm welcome.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding the menu, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for managing waitlists and reservations efficiently.
- Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assisting guests with reservations or inquiries.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, enhancing overall guest satisfaction.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
- Proficiency in using POS systems, particularly Aloha, is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to help guests have an enjoyable experience.
