Job Summary
The Child Care Center Assistant Director plays a pivotal role in supporting the overall management and operations of the center. This position involves collaborating with the Center Director to ensure a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. The Assistant Director will also engage with staff, parents, and the community to promote the center's mission and values while fostering a positive atmosphere for both children and educators.
Duties
- Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs that meet the needs of children.
- Supervise daily operations of the child care center, ensuring compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements.
- Support staff in their professional development through training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with the Center Director to manage budgets, resources, and schedules efficiently.
- Foster a positive learning environment by promoting teamwork among staff and encouraging open communication.
- Participate in community outreach efforts to enhance the center's visibility and engagement.
- Help in classrooms when needed! Ensure day to day operations are met.
Experience
- Must have 1-2 years' experience as Assistant Childcare Director
- Must have High Proficient Picard scores
- 5 plus years' experience in childcare classrooms.
- Current CDA and Ancillary certificates.
- A background/experience in education administration is preferred, with experience in higher education teaching being a valuable asset.
- Proven experience working with students or children in an educational setting is essential.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, staff, and community members.
- A commitment to educating young minds and fostering their development through innovative programming.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32,000.00 - $37,000.00 per year
