Fine Arts Teacher
The Tome School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Fine Arts Teacher to join our educational team. Qualified individuals will develop in each student an interest, ability and talent for creative expression in visual terms, using skills and techniques of artistic expression. This will include historical appreciation of artists along with their methods and techniques. The Fine Arts Teacher will teach a diverse set of student ages and skill levels, to include students in the lower, middle and upper school.
The ideal candidate has a knowledge of current teaching methods, has excellent communication skills, and is seeking a community of learners that share our values of respect, responsibility and honesty.
Responsibilities
- Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning
- Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback
- Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom
- Collaborate with other teachers, parents and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings
- Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events
- Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences etc.

Pay: $34,500.00 - $52,500.00 per year
