What you'll need to do
- Ability to operate machinery, such as a forklift, ripsaw, table saw, planer/sander, moulder, tenoner, and other standard shop tools safely and efficiently.
- Recognize various species of hardwood/softwood lumber, understand lumber yields, and identify lumber grades.
- Understand company expectations for quality and detect product defects as they appear.
- Be able to identify and understand various building materials and how they're used in the field.
- Read a tape measure to the nearest 1/16, use calipers for more specific measurements, and perform various mathematical conversions and calculations.
- Be able to bend, lift, twist, and carry up to 75 pounds, often many times daily.
- Navigate and understand work orders, production forms, and other documents to adhere to company standards and produce to customer expectations.
Salary : $15 - $18
