Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join The Toro Company's team. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of electrical and electronic systems, equipment, and facilities through maintenance, repair, and modification services.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute installation, maintenance, and repair activities on various electrical and mechanical equipment, including control panels, junction boxes, switches, electronic control devices, hydraulics, mechanical drives, and other associated machine tools.
- Determine and rectify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using hand and power tools, machine shop equipment, and measuring instruments to assess tolerances, fit, and wear, and perform rebuilding and adjusting tasks on machines and equipment.
- Work from electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and machine schematic diagrams, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate implementation of maintenance tasks.
- Replace, adjust, and calibrate components to align control, machine parts, pressure, and other apparatus to required operating specifications.
- Utilize oscilloscopes, voltmeters, strip chart records, ammeters, analog converters, amplifiers, and other diagnostic equipment to test circuitry and components.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Vocational/trade school or equivalent training in areas such as electrical/electronics, hydraulics, mechanical drives, pneumatics, electro-mechanical principles, machine operations, CNC machine controls, or equivalent work experience is required.
- Desirable trade knowledge in areas like plumbing, welding, and mechanical processes.
Work Environment
This role involves heavy lifting occasionally and working from awkward positions. It also involves frequent exposure to fumes, solvents, grease/oil, noise, and working at varying heights.
