Job Summary:
This is a Material Handler I position at Ditch Witch, responsible for filling orders, receiving and stocking parts, delivering parts with forklifts or Raymond, and performing routine maintenance on equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Read information from various documents and locate/identify parts in the warehouse.
- Moving and delivering parts using forklifts or other equipment.
- Counting and weighing parts accurately.
- Using computers to check inventory and routing/orders of parts.
- Performing routine service on forklifts, including fueling, oil checks, and cleaning.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior forklift experience and/or certification preferred.
- Strong reading, clerical, and basic math skills.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing plant conditions (variable temperature, humidity, noise, and dirt).
- Limited outdoor exposure.
- Physical hazards such as powered vehicle traffic and materials handling.
- Working with hazardous materials, including chemicals and batteries.
Essential Physical Functions:
- Regularly handle items weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Regularly pull or push items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly lift items up to 35 pounds from knuckle to shoulder.
- Occasional twisting, squatting, and kneeling.
