Starting Pay
$27.36-31.33/hour, depending on experience

What Will You Do?
Must be able to read blueprints and use precision measuring devices, responsible for layout and set up according to the specifications; required to visualize, build and maintain jigs per blueprint working to fine tolerances, must be able to set up and operate all machinery and equipment and tools listed; should have theoretical and working knowledge of electricity.
Responsible for maintenance of accurate records of receipt and issue of tools, jigs and equipment; must notify supervisor of shortage or breakage of same; responsible for an orderly arranged tool room of tools, jigs, and fixtures and equipment in good working order; required to accurately address and prepare same for shipment, in order to have them repaired or serviced.

What Will You Do?
- Changes layout of machines and mechanical equipment in plant to meet production specifications using hand, power and precision tools and blueprints, sets up machines when operator is not familiar with set up.
- Repairs machinery, jigs, fixtures and small tools when necessary using hand tools, gas and arc welding equipment and power driven equipment; makes simple jigs and fixtures occasionally to meet specifications.
- Examines machines during periodic service checks, makes adjustments, changes oil performs other necessary service; performs production machining and welding operations occasionally; makes occasional minor repairs to building.
- Stores equipment, tools, jigs, fixtures or other items in locked location or solid marked location in an orderly fashion; issues items as needed, receives and places items in storage after maintaining tools, by oiling, repairing, sharpening or servicing them for future use.
- Maintains records of issuance; card file for location, tool number and number of units of each type stored.
- Makes recommendation to supervisor for disposition of work tools, equipment and purchase of same per replacement of additional supply.
