We are seeking a motivated insurance agent with an entrepreneurial spirit to identify and convert sales leads for insurance policies while overseeing a robust portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will have served in a related insurance industry role in which he or she cultivated a pool of prospective clients through referrals, networking, cold calls, marketing initiatives, and other proactive sales strategies. Compensation :

60,000 at plan commission

Responsibilities :

  • Maintain and grow existing portfolios by developing and implementing effective and attentive sales strategies that cultivate long-term customer loyalty
  • Spend time listening to new and potential clients, assess their priorities and finances, and determine suitable insurance plan options that successfully meet their individual insurance needs
  • Remain updated on insurance industry changes and protocols to fulfill all policy requirements and monitor insurance claims from start to finish
  • Develop and deliver risk management strategies for each customer based on their risk profile
  • Update bookkeeping systems, customer records, and sales databases to report your monthly and / or quarterly progress to goals to stakeholders
  • Build and maintain client relationships through excellent customer service
  • Analyze client needs to offer appropriate insurance solutions
  • Assist with client policy inquiries and updates
  • Generate and follow up on leads to meet sales goals
  • Stay current with industry trends and products
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve agency targets
  • Qualifications :

  • Job seekers must have an insurance license
  • Basic computer skills with proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is necessary
  • Superb analytical, interpersonal communication, and customer service skills are needed to succeed in this role
  • Proficiency with accounting or sales-related software is helpful
  • Working knowledge of the insurance industry, insurance products risk management profiles, and related state and federal regulations
  • Must have an active insurance license (P&C or Life)
  • At least 2 years of insurance sales experience
  • High school diploma required (Bachelor’s degree is a plus)
  • Sales experience required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented
