Assistant Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment for children. This role is essential in assisting lead teachers in implementing educational programs and ensuring the well-being of students, particularly those with autism and other disabilities. Experience in private school settings, Montessori methods, or preschool education is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing daily lesson plans that align with childhood development standards.
• Support students in their learning activities while promoting independence and self-esteem.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a safe and positive environment for all students.
• Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs, including those with autism and other disabilities.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to enhance the educational experience.
• Maintain an organized classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in educational settings, particularly in preschool or early childhood development.
• Familiarity with Montessori principles or private school education is preferred.
• Strong understanding of classroom management techniques and strategies for educating diverse learners.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $8.00 - $9.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
