We are seeking a talented ESTIMATOR to join our rock star Creative / Visual team. You will work closely with clients, vendors, and project managers on a daily basis to complete estimates for exhibit construction.
JOB SUMMARY :
Responsible for assisting the sales and production teams by providing timely and accurate pricing information pertaining to the company’s exhibit fabrication, accounting for production methods, timeliness, and established material costs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Responsible for reviewing estimate requests, design drawings and specifications with appropriate personnel to understand project and gather necessary information.
- Identifying and gathering information on labor, material and time by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents.
- Obtaining price quotes from vendors.
- Completing timely and accurate estimates from floor plans, sketches, models, renderings, oral and written descriptions, and other sources of information.
- Breaking down projects into components.
- Maintaining documentation and records to support projected cost of project.
- Keeping current on changes in production methods, material, labor costs and other standards, evaluating feasibility of meeting client requirements.
- Resolving discrepancies.
- Other duties as assigned.
