Proud to be a 100% Employee-Owned Company (ESOP), Tradesmen Crane and Equipment LLC (TCE) is seeking a Demolition Superintendent. The Demolition Superintendent will oversee and manage demolition projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, thorough knowledge of demolition processes, and the ability to work under pressure with considerable safety and schedule priorities. The working environment will vary with each job as qualified candidate(s) would be moving from site-to-site dependent on our client’s needs, workload, and project scope.
TCE is affiliated with The Tradesmen Group which specializes in the rehabilitation and restoration of significant structures throughout the eastern half of the United States, with offices/yards serving Plain City OH, Washington DC, Nashville TN. As a full-service building rehabilitation/restoration company, TTG self-performs multiple trades including all aspects of historic masonry restoration, roofing, architectural metals, carpentry, painting & more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and directly supervise all phases of demolition projects, from initial site assessment to final site clearance.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety and environmental regulations, industry standards and engineered demolition plans as applicable.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and site workers to ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Manage and allocate resources efficiently, including labor, equipment, and materials.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, incidents, and resource usage.
- Train and mentor site workers on best practices and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Demolition Superintendent, or similar role in the construction/demolition industry.
- In-depth knowledge of demolition processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to utilize IT equipment such as iPads or tablets for project documentation and record keeping.
- Valid Driver License.
- OSHA 30 for construction certification.
- First Aid certification
- Equipment operator certification for manlift and forklifts.
