Responsibilities

- Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and rights.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including pain management protocols.
- Oversee specimen collection processing and ensure accurate documentation of results.
- Provide guidance on infectious disease care and implement appropriate safety measures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate home community care when necessary.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment options, and self-care practices.
- Maintain knowledge of workers' compensation law as it pertains to patient care and documentation.
- Support staff training on neonatal ventilator use and other specialized equipment as needed.
Skills
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality.
- Proficient in the use of neonatal ventilators and other critical care equipment.
- Knowledgeable in workers' compensation law related to healthcare practices.
- Experience in infectious disease care protocols and standards of practice.

- Familiarity with home community care resources and support systems.
- Ability to work effectively in an operating room (OR) environment when required.
- Competence in dialyzing patients as part of renal care management.
