Summary Description
The Talent Acquisition Intern will collaborate with the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to engage with potential candidates to support Tri-M's recruitment efforts and help attract top talent.
Essential Functions
- Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M safety policies and procedures.
- Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M employment policies and procedures including standards of conduct and appearance to reflect positively on the Company.
- Support Full Cycle Recruitment.
- Draft and post job descriptions on various platforms, as needed.
- Review resumes and applications to identify strong candidates.
- Assist with conducting initial phone screenings.
- Interview coordination, manage interview logistics including timely and organized scheduling for both hiring teams and candidates.
- Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) with candidate information and status updates.
- Ensure timely completion of pre-hire process including pre-employment drug screening, post offer physicals, background checking and scheduling of orientation.
- Assist with all administrative duties related to new hire orientation, including preparing new hire packets, administering building access badges, and ensuring smooth integration into the company.
- Assist in employer branding initiatives including career fairs and social media, as needed.
- Collaborates with team members to continuously improve recruitment processes to enhance the candidate, new hire and manager experience.
- Support the People Team on projects and responsibilities, as needed.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- Strong interest in Talent Acquisition and recruitment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and build a rapport with candidates.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools is a plus
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Working 40 hours/week, scheduled in 8-to-10-hour shifts.
- Vision adequate for daily and consistent computer use and reading.
- Sitting 6 to 8 hours/day.
- Lifting weights of 0 to 30 lbs. from floor to above shoulders.
- Repetitive use of hands for writing, typing, data entry.
