With a caseload of approximately 60 matters—including direct representation and consulting for other law firms—we are committed to trial readiness and strong advocacy. Our firm operates with a collaborative, laid-back approach outside of trial while maintaining precision and efficiency when it matters most.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive paralegal to support our litigation practice. This role involves assisting with case management, legal research, document preparation, and trial support across both in-house and consulting matters. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and comfortable working independently while contributing to a small, close-knit team.
This position offers flexibility, with the option to work in-person, hybrid, or fully remote. While the pace is generally steady, workload intensity may increase during trial periods. The firm currently consists of one attorney, one administrative assistant, and several interns, creating a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with case management, including tracking deadlines, maintaining case files, and organizing discovery materials.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery responses.
• Conduct legal research and summarize findings to support attorneys in trial preparation and strategy development.
• Manage client and case-related communication with opposing counsel, courts, and expert witnesses.
• Assist in trial preparation, including compiling exhibits, preparing witness outlines, and organizing trial binders.
• Coordinate and schedule depositions, court appearances, and client meetings.
• Analyze and summarize case records, depositions, and evidentiary materials.
• Support attorneys in litigation consulting, including reviewing case files from partner firms and providing strategic insights.
Qualifications:
• Paralegal certificate or relevant legal experience in litigation.
• Strong knowledge of civil and criminal litigation procedures.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
