Job Overview:
The Trimble, an agnostic entertainment space located a half mile from Broadway is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Event Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of weekend events at our venue. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and managing events, collaborating with our marketing and bartending teams, and ensuring smooth operational flow during events. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for event planning, team leadership, and providing exceptional experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Sourcing & Planning:
- Source, plan, and coordinate a variety of weekend events, including entertainment, vendor partnerships, and logistics.
- Work closely with vendors, entertainers, and external partners to ensure event success.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, ensuring all event requirements are met.
- Team Collaboration & Communication:
- Coordinate with the marketing team to promote events and drive attendance.
- Partner with the bartending team to ensure the necessary liquor, bar equipment, and supplies are available for each event.
- Provide clear instructions and guidance to all involved teams to ensure seamless execution during events.
- Logistics & Operations:
- Oversee day-of-event operations, ensuring all logistics are in place and that events run smoothly.
- Manage event setup and teardown, ensuring that all equipment is properly handled.
- Monitor event flow and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal guest experience.
- Financial Management:
- Track event-related expenses, manage budgets, and work to maximize event profitability.
- Report on sales and performance, and oversee financial tracking for each event.
- Guest Experience & Customer Service:
- Ensure a positive guest experience by addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
- Collect feedback and implement improvements for future events.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in event planning, management, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
- A creative and proactive problem-solver.
- Experience working with marketing and hospitality teams is preferred.
Compensation:
- $40,000 - $50,000 annual salary, based on experience.
- 5% commission of annual sales for the year.
