What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nature Program Facilitator position at The Tyler Place Resort?
The Nature Program Facilitator plans and leads nature-based activities for children. This role also involves coordinating activities and assisting with adult, family, and other kids' group programs. Responsibilities include:
- Developing and leading fun and educational nature activities for kids (ages 3–16) with an emphasis on our local ecology
- Coordinating and facilitating various nature outings including fishing trips, hikes, etc
- Maintaining natural spaces, equipment, and supplies
- Set-up and take-down of activities
- Assisting with transportation for off-site trips
- Organizing family afternoon activities and rainy day alternatives
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Friendly, outgoing, flexible, creative, and self-sufficient
- Comfortable working with children and in outdoor environments
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and Vermont Boater’s License (can be acquired upon hiring)
- Knowledge of northeastern US flora, fauna, and outdoor activities (fishing, hiking, boating) preferred; woodworking experience is a plus
Position includes: lodging for employees who live outside of Franklin County, VT, meals, competitive salary, end-of-season bonus and use of resort facilities.

Pay: $14.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
