Foundry Metal Grinder

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Metal Grinder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for grinding, deburring, and finishing metal components to meet quality standards. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and experience working with industrial grinding tools and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate hand grinders, bench grinders, and other metal finishing equipment.
• Smooth and shape metal surfaces using grinding tools and abrasives.
• Inspect metal components for defects and ensure quality standards are met.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, or technical drawings.
• Work efficiently to meet production deadlines.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a metal grinder, fabricator, or similar role.
• Familiarity with industrial grinding equipment and techniques.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (lifting, standing, bending).
• Basic knowledge of metal properties and grinding procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specifications.
• Understanding of workplace safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication setting.
• Knowledge of welding and metal finishing techniques.
• Ability to operate CNC grinding machines (if applicable).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.05 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
