Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant's standards while ensuring food safety and hygiene practices are followed.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present sushi dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards.
- Ensure the freshness and quality of all ingredients used in sushi preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food storage.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to prevent contamination.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Assist in menu planning and development of new sushi offerings.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in sushi preparation techniques.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Proficient knife skills for precise cutting and presentation of ingredients.
- Experience in food service within a restaurant or kitchen environment.
