Barista/Cashier

The Ugly Mug Coffee House is a busy fast paste coffee shop in a nice neighborhood. Very cozy and friendly environment. The perfect place to work part time.
Business hours 8am-5pm.

We're are NOT looking for just a position to fulfill but an individual that can be part of our small team (family).

We are searching for an engaging, courteous Individual who is passionate about beverage preparation and education as well as providing quality customer service. The tasks of this position is to greet customers, answer questions, take orders, accept payments, prepare and serve drinks as well as cleaning/Moping/Sanitizing and dishwashing.
You will also maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace inside and outside, restock displays. We will train you to become a Barista if you don't have the experience. You must be comfortable making hot drinks using the Espresso machine and brewing machine.
You should be committed to provide customers with excellent service.

You MUST be positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and polite. You MUST be capable of multi-tasking under pressure and work well with our team.

Our coffee shop does not use third party ordering services. Walk-ins only.

THIS POSITION IS FOR WEEK DAYS AND WEEKENDS. We are flexible with school hours.

THIS POSITION IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR SEASONAL OR SHORT TERM EMPLOYMENT AS WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN INDIVIDUAL THAT WILL BE A KEY HOLDER AND BE PART OF OUR TEAM FOR A LONG TERM.

Responsibilities:

• Greeting customers, taking orders and payments.
• Preparing drinks
• Cleaning/Moping/Sanitizing/Dishwashing
• Barista- no experience needed. Must be able to memorize recipes.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Taking inventory and restocking
• Multi-task and work well as a team
• Follow company policy, regulations and quality controls
• Key holder Open and Close shop

Requirements:

• Must have some College Degree or working towards one.
• Must have Customer Service Experience in retail or in food/beverage preparation
• MUST have Verbal and Written communication skills.
• MUST BE AVAILABLE WEEK DAYS AND WEEKENDS.
• Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have Positive Personality and Verbal Language, Positive Character, Professional Qualities.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.25 per hour
