This position of Banquet Chef is a level 1, requiring seasoned experience within a high volume restaurant, hotel, etc.
The Banquet Chef is required to lead by example through a hands-on involvement of all aspects of Banquet food production and banquet kitchen management. The Banquet Chef will always represent the ownership’s core values on guest service and fair treatment of all associates. The Banquet Chef will be an ambassador of The Umstead Hotel & Spa and the culinary program reporting directly to the Hotel’s Executive Chef. Recognizing that The Umstead Hotel & Spa is a gift to the Community the Banquet Chef will:
- Assist the Executive Chef in the Construction, balance and pricing of all banquet menus, amenities and employee dining menus.
- Lead top quality food production in all aspects of banquet culinary programming
- Recruit, select, and develop on going associate training for the banquet kitchen team.
- Assist when necessary the overseeing of stewarding operations to ensure proper sanitation of the kitchens and maintenance of all kitchen aspects.
- Develop relationships with local producers of indigenous food items
- Have active involvement in local and regional food scene to ensure high exposure of The Umstead Hotel & Spa’s culinary program.
- Provide quality food products in the Associate Dining Room
- Provide proper management of food, labor and miscellaneous costs
- Incorporate respect for the associates, that will resonate throughout the community that The Umstead Hotel & Spa is the finest culinary facility.

Salary : $23
