Job Title: Utility Locator TechnicianJob Summary:
As a Utility Locator Technician, you will be responsible for identifying, marking, and mapping underground utilities using advanced locating techniques and GPR technology. Your role is critical in ensuring safe excavation, reducing risk, and protecting our clients from potential underground hazards. If you have a background in utility locating, plumbing, or GPR, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Investigate subsurface conditions and accurately locate underground utilities
- Use GPR and other detection methods to identify underground anomalies
- Create detailed maps and site reports for client reference
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to provide accurate utility data
- Protect clients by minimizing risk, time, and costs associated with excavation and site planning
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in utility locating, GPR, and/or plumbing
- SU Level B competency preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to assess and investigate site conditions
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
- Valid driver’s license required
