Budtender

Summery/Objective of Job:

At the Underground Station we employ knowledgeable and friendly individuals that are looking for a long-term budtender position. Our Budtenders must maintain an energetic attitude while greeting and welcoming customers into our facilities and listening to customers’ needs. Budtenders should be able to answer our customers questions and educate customers on our cannabis products that we sell in store. With working in a fast-paced environment and the ever-changing marijuana industry, we expect our budtenders to be eager to learn and be up to date in the latest developments in cannabis laws to maintain legal compliance. Our Budtenders are expected to abide company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.

Requirements:

• Must have Colorado MED Badge
• Must be able to Identify Proper Identification of customers (State ID’s, Passports, Tribal ID’s Ext.)
• Colorado State Marijuana Compliance Basic Knowledge
• Daily Limits
• Properly weighing, packaging, and labeling cannabis products
• Weighing out products properly (1g, 3.5g, 7g, 14g, 28g)
• Sound knowledge of cannabis strains and benefits

Duties

• Meeting customers’ needs through knowledge and sales expertise.
• Keep sales floor organized and clean.
• Upselling product (higher average sale)
• Maintain a positive work environment.
• Reports to Store Manager to handle exchanges and handle problems that occur on the sales floor
• Other duties as assigned by management team.

Work Environment

• Loud – Music is ALWAYS playing in Budrooms at all locations. Budtenders can accommodate customers' needs as needed.
• Fast Paced – Our budtenders are required to make sure we are checking out customers in a timely friendly manner. Small talk should be kept to a minimum.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to pick up 30 lb. Boxes.
• The 404 Stairs

Position Type and expected hours to work.

• Budtenders can either be Part Time or Full-Time employees.
• Part Time Budtenders work 32 hours or less a week.
• Full Time Budtenders work 32 hours a week.

Travel

• Traveling for Budtender position MAY be required up on hiring.
• Have 3 dispensaries in Southern Colorado (The 404 – Pueblo, High Octane – Colorado City, The Underground Station – Trinidad)
• Slower Season travel may be required to another store that needs to be staffed.

Additional eligibility qualifications

• Responsible Vendor Certification
• MED Certification
