We are currently searching for a Mortgage Loan Processor to work onsite from our Operations Center in Columbus Grove, OH or from our Westerville, OH location!

Under the direction of the Loan Processing Manager, the Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for processing residential mortgage loan applications in accordance with internal policies and procedures, secondary market guidelines, as well as relevant government regulations and procedures. This position assists in the underwriting function by obtaining and organizing all necessary documentation. This position also requires some basic underwriting skills and familiarity with the loan closing function.

Primary Responsibilities:

Loan Processor:

• Provide administrative assistance to the loan officer and underwriting staff, including updating loan data into Encompass, assembling and preparing application documentation for new customer loans. Verifies accuracy of loan application documentation.
• Prepare and send proper disclosures throughout the process to comply with TRID guidelines and all other state, government, and investor regulations.
• Ensure that residential loan files contain documents with proper signatures, dates and other relevant data. Ensure compliance with TRID guidelines.
• Order & review appraisals, title searches, flood determinations and additional documentation, if applicable. Checks documents for proper vesting and legal descriptions and problems upon receipt.
• Work with the loan officer to obtain and review all underwriting conditions for acceptability and accuracy.
• Review each loan to ensure all conditions are met to submit to underwriting for final approval.
• Manage pipeline to ensure compliance with regulations. Send 10-day letters on aged files and cancel when necessary to keep pipeline clean and current.
• Order Homeowner’s insurance with updated mortgagee clause and Verification of Employment prior to submission for CTC review.

Operations:

• Keep abreast of changes in products, policies and procedures, and attend training as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Customer Service:

• Assist customers with resolution of account problems and issues.
• Provide customer information and support.

Special requirements for the position:

• Prefer a high school degree and 3 years’ experience in a related position in a financial institution.
• Must have the capacity to work under stress and handle difficult situations.
