Our culinary staff has prepared meals for Presidents, Prime Ministers and Royals from around the globe. Additionally, The Club offers members and guest a robust calendar of special events and programs.
Position Description & Responsibilities:
Part-Time Overnight Porter
Summary
The Union League Club is seeking an Overnight Porter to join our team. A successful candidate will have a background in cleaning, ability to lift 50 pounds.
The Overnight Porter will report to the Chief Engineer and work collaboratively with all team members.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and put out garbage and recycling for collection
- Clean and maintain public sidewalks
- Clean and maintain service ramp
- Communicate issues that arise during shift with supervisor.
- Respond promptly to any emergency repair requests from guests or staff
- Ensure compliance with safety and building codes
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure the timely completion of all repair and maintenance tasks
- Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance and repair supplies
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Must be able to work under pressure, handle difficult situations; prioritize and organize work
- Agility in multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment
- Cohesive team player
- Ability to work overnight hours, including weekends
- **Additional Compensation is available if the candidate possesses a Fire & Life Safety Director License.**
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
