Position Overview
El Mejor Precio is seeking a versatile and highly organized Operations Manager to work directly with ownership to manage daily business activities. This individual will play a key role in employee oversight, sales support, basic accounting, inventory control, and general business operations. The ideal candidate is someone who can take initiative, solve problems, and bring structure to a fast-paced, growing wholesale business.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Management
- Coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving, order preparation, and shipping
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure products are organized and accounted for
- Identify and address operational inefficiencies to improve workflow and output
- Employee Oversight
- Supervise and support warehouse and administrative staff
- Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing
- Participate in onboarding and training of new hires
- Address employee concerns and provide guidance on day-to-day tasks
- Sales & Client Support
- Assist with phone, in-person, and web-based B2B sales activities
- Maintain strong relationships with repeat customers and resellers
- Monitor order progress and follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction
- Support the owner with pricing strategies and customer communications
- Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Generate invoices and process payments for customer orders
- Coordinate with office administration for reconciliations, reporting, and compliance
- Marketing & Online Presence
- Maintain and update the company website, working in conjunction with digital marketing vendors.
- Support online marketing efforts across Facebook and other platforms
- Assist in creating and posting content for promotions and product visibility
- Track online engagement and report results to inform future marketing strategy
- Administrative & Strategic Support
- Serve as the owner’s operational right hand, helping manage high-level priorities
- Take initiative to follow through on tasks without needing close supervision
- Provide regular updates and recommendations on business improvements
- Help coordinate special projects and new initiatives
Qualifications and Skills
- Prior experience in operations, management, or administrative roles (preferably in wholesale, logistics, or retail)
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Understanding of inventory management, sales processes, and customer service
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles (QuickBooks or similar a plus)
- Ability to adapt, stay organized, and multitask across departments
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
