Job Description:
Our client in Delavan, IL, is looking for motivated, reliable, and passionate individuals to join their cannabis packaging and cultivation departments. With endless possibilities for advancement, you’ll have the chance to develop professionally while being part of a team that’s leading the way.
Cultivation:
Schedule: Monday- Friday 7am-3:30pm
Pay: $18.00/hour
Responsibilities:
- Daily plant care that includes watering, pruning, defoliating, de-fanning, and trimming
- Transplanting, potting, trellising, netting, plant training, and other various plant production related activities needed throughout the cultivation process
- Cloning responsibilities; cutting, rooting, and transplanting; clone care, watering, and feeding
- Monitoring plant growth, health, and appearance in the grow rooms
- Documenting and recording the application of all nutrients and/or substances applied to all plants
- Maintaining organization, cleanliness, and efficiency of production area
Packaging:
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm
Pay: $17.00/hour
Responsibilities:
- Grind, trim, and weigh cannabis flower as per guidelines.
- Operate packaging machinery accurately.
- Monitor filling weights, packaging consistency, and document production.
- Label product properly to be sent out to retail partners
- Support inventory and quality control procedures.
Orders/ Vault:
You may be considered for packaging roles that will work in Vault or Orders. They are still packaging technicians, but require a little different skillset:
- Vault – ability to stand a majority of the day and lift trays and totes up to 40 lbs; fast-paced; attention to detail; ability to work well with a small team and meet deadlines; problem solving skills
- Orders – ability to sit/stand; the orders team receives packaged goods from the vault for barcoding and boxing up based on the delivery schedule; this is a fast-paced role requiring the ability to change direction when needed and work to meet daily production goals; hand dexterity is needed
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Background Check: $100 Livescan fee (onsite).
- Facility Requirement: Designated shoes required for facility use only.
- Must be at least 21 years old, able to pass a background check.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Production or manufacturing experience (a plus).
- Cannabis handling experience (a plus).
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and adherence to SOPs.
- Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to high-quality work.
