We have an immediate need for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join the team at The Lodge at BridgeMill, one of United Group's professionally managed active adult communities located in Canton, GA. To learn more information about our property, visit: https://www.thelodgeatbridgemill.com/
Major Tasks Key Responsibilities:
- Assesses and prioritizes all maintenance work to be performed on the assigned site.
- Maintains inventory of equipment, tools, supplies, and work materials.
- Completes daily work schedules for routine maintenance duties.
- Completes maintenance work orders as assigned.
- Ensures quality of work duties performed.
- Notifies Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager of all problems and potential issues of concern.
- Maintains a working knowledge of all utility sources and supply lines.
- Paints, cleans, completes maintenance items, and all other items required for the completion of the unit under renovation.
- Cleans all common areas and responsible for trash removal.
- Performs necessary maintenance relating to both the exterior and interiors of all buildings of the property assigned.
- Handles emergency situations that may arise and communicates all details of the incident to the Property Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor.
- Performs all phases of snow removal from all needed areas and maintains all appropriate equipment.
- General maintenance experience to include painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mowing, etc.
- Will be available for after hours on-call as necessary.
- Maintains a professional and courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
- Special projects and other responsibilities may be determined
Job Overview Requirements
- Compensation: $21.00 per hour, eligible for overtime.
- Work Schedule: Full Time; Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm and Weekends, 9:00am – 12:00pm.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand/walk for 8-10 hours per day. Frequent body movements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, squat, reach, push, and pull. Ability to work indoors and outdoors during various weather conditions. Reasonable accommodation(s) may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of the role.
- Preferred Education: High School Education; EPA / CPO preferred.
- Preferred Experience: 2-3 years of experience in maintenance field, preferrable property management / real estate.
- Qualities: Demonstrates integrity on a personal and professional level; Exceptional communication and leadership skills; Ability to solve problems involving residents, maintenance, and challenging situations.
