St. John’s United Methodist Church (Baton Rouge, LA) seeks compassionate individuals to fill vital roles in Communications, Children’s, and Youth Ministries. These positions are part-time, but applicants may seek either part-time or full-time employment with us. We are looking for the right candidate(s) and will modify the responsibilities and compensation based on the gifts, needs, and preferences of the most qualified candidate(s).

About the Communications position
Primary Role: Guide the development and execution of both internal and external communications strategies, ensuring they effectively articulate and support the mission and vision of St. John’s UMC.
- Candidates will have experience in graphic design, written communication, social media, web design, and project management.
- Candidates will be creative, innovative, and strategic thinkers. Additionally, they will be self-motivated, prioritize well, and have strong time management skills.
Hours & Compensation for Communications position
- Minimum 12 hours/week; hybrid work schedule, with the possibility of fully remote
- Annual Compensation: $11,500-$15,000; Proportional to experience
Full-Time Career Opportunity: Assuming all three positions qualify the individual for full-time employment status.
