Primary Purpose of Position:
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Purchase and expedite maintenance, repair and operating supplies on a plant wide basis.
- Ensure and manage stock inventory items within approved inventory levels and obsolescence is minimized.
- Solicit bids, analyze quotations and select suppliers as required.
- Conduct interviews, correspondence and negotiates with current and prospective suppliers, vendors, and contractors. This to be done with the Maintenance manger
- Sources new suppliers for special goods and services as required to meet production demands, engineering projects, and facility maintenance.
- Contributes to and reports out monthly on cost improvements.
- Manages parts store inventory utilizing CMMS system. Required to generate KPl's for stores inventory, part bin accuracy, and inventory dollars.
- Responsible to create purchase requisitions and purchase order to replenish parts inventory.
- Position may require individual to expedite parts, good, or services to minimize potential of equipment downtime. With managers approval
- Responsibility to maintain invoices and receipts related to the use of the company P-card and reconciling the monthly statement. To use P card as little as possible. Following established P Card procedures.
- Support an environment and have experience in "Lean Principles SS, TPM"
- Negotiate, issue and monitors purchases orders; and expedite as necessary.
- Design and implement initiatives relating to value analysis and cost reduction, lead time compression and minimization of purchase transactions
- Identification and certification of new suppliers
- Monitor supplies and communicate current status
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
Some college required; bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience/Knowledge
5 yrs. experience in purchasing or supply _chain required
Certifications /Licenses/
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of the stock room processes, Vest and 5 practices.
TECHNICAL ROLE COMPETENCIES:
PMC experience required -, SAP Required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Sitting at workstation approximately 50 percent of work time. Standing and walking approximately 50 percent of work time.
Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice. Typical office environment with shelves overhead and above work surfaces.
