JOB DESCRIPTION : Regional Sales Manager (Midwest Sales Territory)
The Regional Sales Manager manages all aspects of sales activities to achieve sales and profit goals within the territory which consists of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri and Iowa. This includes sales of all company products including heavy duty truck and trailer parts, light duty utility trailer components and Flexiride rubber torsion axles.

Primary Responsibilities :
- Generate sales and promote new products and program awareness with regularly scheduled sales calls on service shops, warehouse distributors, trailer and axle manufacturers, and other potential customers in the sales territory.
- Pursue and develop new customer opportunities.
- Identify sales growth areas.
- Negotiate sales prices and quote customers in consultation with management.
- Provide detailed and timely market feedback and information on customers and competition to company management. This includes trip and call reports as well as inputting information in a CRM system.
- Accurately forecast annual revenue budget together with management.
- Develop strategic plans to ensure growth by product category.
- Conduct market research on new product opportunities.
- Possess a working knowledge of all products across all divisions (Aftermarket, OEM and Flexiride).
- Offer product training to customers as needed.
- Provide services to Universal’s customers including customer returns, special orders and product and inventory recommendations.
- Attend trade shows as needed.
