The Universities at Shady Grove is seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to provide exceptional mental health services to students. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting psychiatric evaluations, providing intake assessments, ongoing medication management, therapy, and consultative work with other departments.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide direct care to a diverse student population
Collaborate with other UHC departments, including General Medicine, to ensure seamless patient care
Participate in Health Center in-service, peer review, educational activities, designated Health Center Committees, and designated campus committees as assigned
Requirements
M.D./D.O. from accredited Medical School
All residency and post-graduate training from accredited American programs
Experience working with young adults, preferably in an academic setting
Basic knowledge of substance use related diagnosis and treatment
Licensed to practice psychiatry in the State of Maryland
