Job Description:
This position will be primarily responsible for regularly performing warehouse shipping and receiving duties and all duties of the Stock Clerk II, as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager and Director.
Responsibilities:
- Put pallets of incoming stock in proper bulk storage locations.
- Receive small orders weighing approximately three pounds from the pickers.
- Replenish bins with books received from the stock pickers.
- Moving inventory, bulk or otherwise, between satellite warehouses.
- Fulfilling outbound orders.
Competencies:
- Manage interpersonal relationships and interact/communicate with clarity, tact and courtesy with patrons, staff, faculty, students, and others.
- Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- Identify priorities.
- Recognize and resolve or refer problems.
- Work effectively with supervision and as part of a team.
- Use or learn a range of position-related software applications.
- Forklift experience and permit certification preferred.
- Familiarity with material handling equipment required.
- Familiarity with CRT terminal preferred.
- Ability to type preferred.
- Ability to read and calculate simple mathematical problems required.
- Stockroom/receiving experience preferred.
- Other warehouse functions as instructed, dusting/cleaning, sweeping, moving stock and packing materials.
Additional Responsibilities
Education, Experience, and Certifications:
Experience:
- Stockroom and receiving experience preferred.
- Forklift experience and permit certification preferred.
- Material Handling equipment experience required.
- Familiarity with CRT terminal preferred.
Technical Knowledge or Skills:
- Ability to obtain permit certification within probationary period.
- Ability to work at height in material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with CRT terminal preferred.
- Ability to read and calculate simple mathematical problems required.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Warehouse environment.
- Exposure to moving machinery.
- Exposure to heights.
- High dust, dirt environment.
- High noise environment.
Pay Range:
- $17.36 - $20.06
