What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admissions Counselor position at The University of Findlay?
The University of Findlay (www.findlay.edu) is seeking an Admissions Counselor. This position is responsible for recruiting high school students into the freshman class at the University of Findlay. In representing the University, this will require frequent overnight travel to visit high schools and attend college fairs especially in the fall. Some evening and weekend work, and frequent overnight travel are expectations of this position.
A bachelors’ degree, with 18 months of related industry experience is required. The candidate must possess excellent public speaking skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Preference given to candidates with event planning with coordination experience, able to work effectively with others to achieve common goals, and an ability to alter planned activities in order to accommodate new or changed situations.
A valid US Drivers’ license with a safe driving record is required, and the energy and ability to travel. Some overnight travel is expected of this position.
