Job Description
The University of Findlay invites applications for a full-time position in Animal Science to begin August 1, 2025. The Department of Animal and Pre-Veterinary Studies boasts nearly 700 undergraduate students.
It is preferred that the candidates hold a Ph.D. in Animal Science (or related agricultural field, i.e., DVM), and be able to teach a variety of courses in Animal Science which may include courses in : preventive medicine, animal handling, farm business management, livestock merchandising, meat science, meat animal evaluation, animal nutrition, livestock production and management, or professional development and career exploration. ABD candidates will be considered but degree must be conferred by August 1, 2025. A master's degree in animal science or related field will also be considered. Prior teaching experience is preferred and a willingness and desire to advise undergraduate students in Animal Science is required. Must be able to develop and manage an undergraduate research program in a field compatible with resources available. Candidates must be committed to student-centered education as well as professional development and scholarship. Position appointment and salary are commensurate with qualifications.
