If you are a current University employee, please use the internal career site to apply for this position.Job DescriptionThe University of Findlay is seeking an experienced and dynamic Environmental Scientist, for a Full-Time, Tenure Track faculty position with an emphasis in Sustainability. The position will be an integral part of the University's nationally-recognized, EHAC accredited, Environmental, Safety, Occupational and Health Management Department, which offers a Bachelor of Science degree completion, and a Master's degree program, both domestically and abroad. This position will join a growing department of 6 Full-Time and 3 Part-Time faculty, who have a combined 250 years of industry and teaching experience.The ideal candidate must possess a Ph.D. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Policy, Occupational Health, EHS, or a Master's with credentials and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related discipline and professional experience.Teaching expectations include undergraduate and graduate core and elective courses in the area of Risk Management, Environmental Policy, and 1 or more Safety / Industrial Hygiene related courses. Professional experience in multiple areas of Environmental Engineering policy or EHS related to the teaching assignment, specialized credentials in Environmental Health Science, undergraduate and graduate level online teaching experience preferred. A candidate who has a breath of knowledge in the field of Environmental Health, Safety and Sustainability, will ensure our student and employer's needs and interest are met, as the field is adapting to progressive laws and regulations.The University of Findlay's Environmental program is both a Bachelor's and Master's degree program that is EHAC accredited, BCSP and IHMM approved. The instructional facilities are dedicated to industrial hygiene, ventilation and environmental science labs, faculty and student research labs; in addition to the All-Hazards Training Center, which provides training to thousands of industry professionals each year.
