The Music Therapy Program of the Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at University of Iowa Health Care is pleased to offer a fellowship opportunity to qualified candidates seeking experience with pediatric hematology-oncology patients.
The University of Iowa Dance Marathon Music Therapy Fellowship offers an advanced learning, entry-level music therapy experience to a candidate who has completed all academic coursework and related clinical training required to be eligible for the music therapy board certification exam. New professionals who earned board certification (MT-BC) within the past two years are also eligible.
The tentative start date for this 1-year fellowship position will be March 1 of each year.
The fellowship provides a monthly stipend plus employee health and dental insurance for a full-time, 12-month appointment. Hands-on clinical experience, training, and supervision are all part of this temporary position.
UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital has been dedicated to meeting the health care needs of children and families since 1919. As Iowa’s only comprehensive children’s hospital, we provide care for children from birth to young adulthood. Services range from promoting wellness to the care of general childhood illnesses, traumatic injuries, life-threatening and chronic illnesses, and developmental disabilities. As part of an academic medical center, UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital also performs groundbreaking research to help solve the mysteries of childhood diseases in addition to training the next generation of health care professionals.
Job Type : Specified Term – The position will hold a 12-month appointment.
