Position Summary
Career Interest : Performs charge reviews as well as special projects based on the Audit Plan and / or need. Helps identify the cause of billing discrepancies, provides suggestions for enhanced processing and follows up on outstanding findings through to an acceptable resolution. Serves as a resource to departments within the health system with audits and compliance initiatives. Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Demonstrates competence in the areas of critical thinking and interpersonal relationships.
- Maintains technical skills. Reviews and properly works accounts in all assigned EPIC Work queues (and any other method of assignment).
- Consistently reviews / follows-up and reports on potential systemic findings. Helps identify the cause of billing discrepancies.
- Follows up with departments to ensure procedures are implemented to address billing discrepancies identified.
- Serves as a consultant to various departments.
- Creates and maintains a record of workflow processes for cross-training purposes.
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
