Position Summary
Career Interest : Come join our Periop team! This is for a full time Perioperative Clinical Engineering (Biomed) Tech at our Bell hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. This opening is for our late shift team and has a flexible start time options ranging between 10am - 1pm.
The Perioperative Clinical Engineering (Biomed)Tech II position is responsible for the maintenance of life support and non-life support equipment within the Perioperative division. His / her focus will also be on the intra-operative user, equipment problems, completion of scheduled maintenance, and preventative maintenance / repairs of Perioperative equipment. He / she will also be responsible for projects assigned by his Supervisor(s) or Manager. For patient safety, all general repairs and maintenance must be reviewed by his / her supervisor or manager until certification occurs.
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Test and calibrate medical devices (preventative maintenance)
- Troubleshoot medical devices in a clinical or operative setting
- Ensures compliance with regulatory processes
- Manage medical software / hardware systems
- Educate the proper use, care, and maintenance of medical devices
- Review technical manuals
- Document any and all maintenance and repairs and maintain records of maintenance activities
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
