What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatrics Behavioral Research Psychologist Opportunity, Kansas City, KS position at The University of Kansas Hospital?
The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Developmental and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Pediatric Behavioral Research Psychologist. This individual will be responsible for procuring external federal funding to support an independent line of research focusing on child health as well as publishing peer reviewed publications and other necessary activities for promotion and tenure. Additionally, this individual will also serve as a clinician in a child and family focused clinic.
This candidate will have completed an APA accredited internship and a research oriented postdoctoral fellowship with demonstrated clear programmatic line of research in health psychology / behavioral medicine.
The ideal candidate will have obtained a PhD, PsyD in Clinical, Counseling or School Psychology with an emphasis in the care of children and families. Candidates also should have passed or be in preparation to take the National Psychology Licensing Exam (EPPP) and be license eligible for the state of Kansas.
About the Department :
The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Developmental and Behavioral Sciences is comprised of 24 faculty across a variety of disciplines including pediatric psychology, developmental medicine, occupational therapy, and school psychology. Additionally, the division is active in research, teaching, clinical service, professional service, and leadership in the department as well as the medical center and on a national level.
