The University of Manchester Facilities Maintenance and Compliance Unit are seeking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Mechanical Inspector to join our team.
We are looking for a candidate that can :
Supervise all new mechanical / HVAC installation work across the entire University estate. You will ensure all work is installed and commissioned in accordance with university standards.
Perform the role of Mechanical Clerk of Works on projects
Assist the Deputy Head of Mechanical Engineering in carrying out detailed investigations following mechanical / HVAC incidents and serious mechanical / HVAC occurrences, producing associated detailed written reports
A s an ideal candidate you will have :
Minimum of HND (Level 5 BTEC) in Building Services (or equivalent) together with substantial vocational experience
An established track record and experience in a mechanical / HVAC construction environment
Extensive experience in managing on site testing and commissioning of all HVAC systems including but not limited to BMS, Steam, Gas, Water, Ventilation, Chillers, Air Conditioning.
Experience of monitoring, overseeing or managing HVAC commissioning activities
