What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Administrator position at The University of Manchester?
Applications are invited for the above post to provide comprehensive and proactive administrative support for departmental staff and activities undertaken in the School. The post is part time, fourteen hours per week, available immediately on a permanent basis. This role involves supervision of other members of administrative staff.
This is a dynamic and demanding role and will involve considerable flexibility and the ability to prioritise tasks in order to deliver administrative support for the academic community within the department and wider community. The post holder’s role will be to ensure effective and professional liaison and communication with academic, administrative and external customers at all levels, to facilitate the smooth running of day-to-day activities.
The post holder will be assigned to a Department within the School, but will be employed by the School and as such may be required to support other areas, across the School.
Essential experience
Experience of providing effective administrative support to senior staff
Experience of providing effective support to committees.
Experience of providing information, advice and guidance to staff and other individuals.
