The Department of Medicine, Cardiovascular Division is searching for a Post Doctoral Associate, Computational Simulations Engineer to work in the Center for Digital Cardiovascular Innovations. The focus of the position will be to design and conduct highly specialized and advanced simulations (FEA, CFD), including coronary artery stents, and structural heart interventions.
CORE FUNCTIONS
- Some of the main duties include, design, conduct, and analyze solid mechanical simulations and computational fluid dynamics studies of coronary and structural heart interventions
- Maintain computer database of research data, tabulate and display data for presentation in research conferences and for manuscript preparation, use graphics and statistical software to analyze and present data
- Supervise other personnel in the laboratory to coordinate research efforts for increased efficiency
- Participate in the training of fellows, residents, students, and volunteer workers as needed.
- Search pertinent scientific literature as needed
