To perform a variety of accounting tasks involved in maintaining financial records, processing data, and the monitoring, verification, and reconciliation of accounts.
Education & Experience
Associates degree in accounting or related field and two (2) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Collaborates in the processing, balancing, and reconciliation of departmental accounting transactions.
- Compiles, processes, and enters departmental data; prepares required reports.
- Monitors grant/contracts financial status to include evaluating purchase requisitions, consultant fees and travel expenses, petty cash, interdepartmental invoices, and external contractor invoices.
- Establishes and assigns coding of cash receipts and expenditures; prepares indirect cost adjustments on payment receipts for specified accounts.
- Reviews expense and accounting documents for accuracy and appropriate approvals and ensures transactions are charged to the appropriate account.
- Interfaces with other relevant staff to identify and resolve accounting, grant, and/or other fiscal problems.
