Job Summary:
Implements, analyzes, supports, integrates, and maintains applications, databases, and dataflows of informatics data, with focus on electronic data capture and survey platforms, cohort discovery tools, virtualization platforms, and other analytics software. Collaborates with users to identify technical and business requirements. Analyzes and develops informatics system documentation.
Education & Experience
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare, Population Health, Mathematics or a related field and three (3) years information systems or healthcare related experience or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required:

Epic certification or accreditation in one of the following data models: Clinical Data Model, Access Data Model or Revenue Data Model. If not Epic certified or accredited, must obtain Epic certification or accreditation within 6 months of hire. An Epic assessment will be given to those candidates who pass the initial review step of the interview process.
Preferred Qualifications:
Information systems experience in healthcare or related field preferred.

Responsibilities
- Supports data management and analysis, monitors data quality and validation of analytical results, and implements new and improved standards and methods for data analysis and visualization. Keeps abreast of current and new technologies and serves as a resource to other technical staff.
- Designs, develops, codes, tests, debugs, maintains, and documents database ETL code and queries in support of intelligence data.
- Collaborates with other team members to analyze requirements, design, and implement solutions utilizing best practices in systems design and integration.
- Develops specifications and conducts discovery with the assistance of DIS staff, team members, users, and vendors to design, create, develop, or enhance applications. Prepares the required documents in accordance with UMMC programming standards, policies, and procedures.
- Participates in technical committees to identify, investigate, and characterize risks and communicates progress toward established milestones. Accomplishes goals and objectives within set deadlines.
- Provides positive customer relations across the range of informatics activities including support services, UMMC business units, and vendors. Promotes corporate integrity through compliance with UMMC and information technology policies and procedures.
