Job Summary:
To provide leadership and management to all personnel within the assigned Diagnostic Sonography unit. Work directly with Director to manage and support all clinical functions of assigned department. Ensure efficient and effective delivery of clinical service. Ensure compliance with all administrative, regulatory and clinical practice guidelines.
Education & Experience
Education and Experience Required:
Two (2) years of imaging experience, one (1) year of which must include leadership responsibilities
Certifications, Licenses, or Registrations Required:
Registered Diagnostic Sonographer from American Registry for Medical Diagnostic Sonography (ARMDS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) in the area(s) of specialization
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

Knowledge and understanding of procedural patient care, practice and standards in area of specialty. Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct the operations and delivery of patient care within the budgetary, staffing and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in planning, preparing and prioritizing of budget for assigned area of responsibility. Provide ongoing monitoring of budget compliance and investigate variances providing plans for reconciliation.
- Provide ongoing management of contractual services and capital requests.
- Collaborate with physician director to plan, develop and implement appropriate protocols to ensure ongoing accreditation.
- Plan, schedule and organize the work of the assigned area to ensure proper distribution of assignments and efficient utilization of clinical personnel, space and facilities.
- Manage assigned personnel, providing coaching, education, training and evaluation of performance. Ensure that personnel demonstrate quality standards of patient care and customer service.
- Work collaboratively with leadership on initiatives for growth.
- Plan and participate in ongoing quality and performance improvement activities to enhance the delivery of clinical care.
