Role Summary
Manages a team to provide data analytic services to various stakeholders. Predictive modeling and analysis : Strategic planning and partnerships; Reporting, data, and operational support.
This position will oversee all reporting, data analysis, decision support, and predictive modeling for the Office of Enrollment Management (EM). This position will be at the center of our Strategic Enrollment Plan, serving a critical role in all reports, modeling, and analysis used to inform decisions across EM, including analyzing and forecasting trends in enrollment and admissions that are critical to campus planning and providing decision support to inform strategies. In collaboration with the Vice Chancellor (VC) and Admissions Director, this position sets priorities and goals that align with the institution's comprehensive strategic enrollment plan. This position serves as a member of the leadership team and university-wide committees and teams focused on enrollment management planning and initiatives. This position serves on data, research, and IT-related campus and system-wide committees. This position ensures the necessary reports and reporting tools are available to key audiences to inform decisions related to EM.
Examples of Work Performed
- Provide key analysis that shapes and informs the strategic enrollment plan. Create various projections / predictive models and recommend enrollment goals (new, total, undergraduate, graduate, academic profile, scholarships, residency mix, etc.) and strategies.
- Provide leadership and vision for EM planning initiatives. Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and providing consulting in support of the Division’s strategic enrollment plan and undergraduate admissions recruitment plan. This includes analyzing and forecasting trends in enrollment and admissions that are critical to campus planning and provide decision support to inform strategies. Serves a critical role in all reports, modeling, and analysis used to inform decisions across EM. Analyze return on investment projects (events, programming, strategic initiatives, and staffing) among other areas.
- In collaboration with the Division's leadership team, set priorities and goals that align with the institution's comprehensive strategic enrollment plan. Serve as a member of the Division of Enrollment Management’s Leadership Team. Provide leadership on collaborative projects. Work with campus partners and external vendors to ensure data integrity across units and within various systems. Serve on university wide committees and teams focused on enrollment management planning and initiatives. Serve on data, research, and IT-related campus and system-wide committees. Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, students, staff, faculty, and others to solicit cooperation and resolve problems. Reporting, Data, and Operations Deliver timely, accurate, and relevant data and technologies regarding the recruitment, enrollment, and retention of students that allows the University to achieve its strategic goals and initiatives. Responsible for business intelligence, data policies, procedures, and standards. Provide data administration expertise. Work closely with Admissions and Financial Aid operations for quality control on reports. Ensure the necessary reports and reporting tools are available to key audiences to inform decisions related to undergraduate admissions, registration, scholarships, financial aid, and student service functions provided by the Division.
- Responsible for operational support and assessment, including recruitment activities, scholarship, and financial aid strategies. Prepare reports, proposals, and written analyses regarding operational activities and services. Establish standards, policies, and procedures for operations. Conduct and assess surveys and focus groups. Evaluate, map, and implement improvements to EM operations and work-flows.
Essential Functions
