Position Summary

The University of New Mexico College of Nursing (CON) is seeking an Admissions Associate to join its highly energetic and student-oriented enrollment services team. In this role, you will provide excellent customer service to prospective students regarding application and admission requirements, support and participate in recruitment activities and events, and assist in the admissions process for all College of Nursing academic programs. This is a fast-paced environment dedicated to assisting a diverse prospective student population.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist prospective students through appointments, which will include understanding admission requirements, available options, transfer processes, and related concerns.
  • Review and process student applications and supporting documents, referencing policies to ensure proper procedures and decision-making.
  • Compile, review, and update student applications to determine their admissions status.
  • Enter and monitor relevant data within the integrated student databases to track applicant progress.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries directed to the Office of Admissions and Recruitment, providing clear and helpful information as needed via phone and email.
  • Attend local recruitment activities / events as needed.

The successful candidate will possess strong advising, interpersonal, analytical, organizational, communication, and customer-service skills. This individual must thrive in a deadline-driven environment and enjoy working with a diverse population of students, staff, and faculty.

Conditions of Employment Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
